Why I want Obama to Win

This post is something you'd probably see in one of those Secret forums, but I'll admit it:

Aside from the fact that Obama GETS that there is an urgency for green initiatives to address global climate change (and it's not just a US dependency issue), that he understands technology and diplomacy will solve big problems and that investments need to be made to get us there (spend smartly, rather than not at all), that he surrounds himself with people that will help him run the country rather than help him win an election, that he'd refocus our foreign involvement and withdraw from Iraq responsibly and with dignity...

One reason I REALLY want him to win is because

it would make Jon Stewart so happy.

A Terrible Idea

These just might work...

Your challenge is to write crossover fanfiction combining the Daily Show and Dungeons & Dragons. The story should use a secret government plot as a plot device!

AMV: Crisis Core - Monster

I should just start labeling AMV posts. Stumbled across this one.

The intro is a tad long, and the video itself is mediocre in excecution, but I really like how lines from the game were incorporated into the song. And I totally fell in love the song. Now I want to look into Crisis Core...which means looking into getting a PSP. Curses!

I <3 Kingdom Hearts

I've been playing through Kingdom Hearts the past week, so my brain is full of KH instead of math concepts and grammar rules for my upcoming exam. Ah well.

My love for this series knows no bounds - more for the possibilities and for things unseen and unsaid than for what is experienced in-game. The designers and writers laid the ground rules, set the stage, populated it with characters who have to make difficult choices and work within the situation they find themselves - just enough to make the KH-verse cohesive but open enough to be richly built out by future installments and fan imagination and exploration. I've always felt that the original characters, rather than the familiar Final Fantasy and Disney characters, were the strongest assets to the series.

One of aspects I find most intriguing is that everything that happens in at least the first three games (KH, CoM, and KHII) is a consequence of a group of people seeking knowledge. And the Nobodies! Don't get me started on them. They truly struggle for meaning and self-acceptance, so good or bad, misled or otherwise, I have great sympathy for them. They are the true tragic characters in this series. ::Bawls::

Anyway, here's a little fan-made music video I found. Better viewed in higher quality on YouTube and available for download at AnimeMusicVideo.org:
